Adalar Web Design and Software Companies: Sites Built Around the Ferry Timetable

On the Princes' Islands the season is four months long and everyone arrives by ferry. Here is what belongs on the first screen of a guesthouse or restaurant site.

In short: On Istanbul's Princes' Islands trade follows the season and the ferry timetable. The sites we build for guesthouses, restaurants and rental businesses put availability, the last ferry and the walk from the pier first.

Business life in Adalar and why a website matters

Adalar is the island district of Istanbul, and its official 2025 population is 17,489 people across five neighbourhoods: Maden and Nizam on Büyükada, then Heybeliada, Kınalıada and Burgazada. That figure barely moves in winter and multiplies in summer. For a business here the year splits in two — roughly four months of revenue and eight months of holding on.

The second thing that shapes everything is access. You reach the district by ferry, and once ashore private motor traffic is restricted. The horse-drawn carriages were withdrawn in 2020 and the municipality's electric vehicles took their place, running fixed routes: Çarşı–Tepeköy–Kadıyoran and Çarşı–Maden–Nizam on Büyükada, Çarşı–Akçakoca–İtfaiye on Heybeliada.

That matters for a very practical reason. On an island business's website the question "how do I get there" carries far more weight than it does on the mainland. Before your guest finds your door they have to work out which pier to leave from, which sailing to catch, and how to cover the stretch from the pier to you. If those three answers are missing from the page, the phone still rings — but the caller asks for directions instead of a booking.

What Adalar businesses need from custom web software

Guesthouses and small hotels

Room counts here are small, so one empty night is a direct loss. Keeping the calendar by hand breaks at this scale: take two bookings for the same room through two channels and your guest is left standing at the pier. We manage availability from an admin panel, so a closed date disappears from the site at once, and the booking confirmation carries the ferry information with it. Pricing is seasonal by design — the same room is not sold for the same rate in April and in August.

Restaurants, fish places and tea gardens

Most guests decide while boarding the morning ferry, on a phone. A menu published as a PDF therefore does no work at all: it opens badly and the type is unreadable. We write the menu as a page and let you update prices yourself. To the usual reservation flow we add one island-specific field: the last ferry. A table given for nine in the evening earns no second visit if the guest misses the boat home.

Bicycle rental, tours and island transport

In this business the stock is physically countable — how many bicycles, how many child seats. When the hourly and daily rate, the deposit terms and the number of units are all written down, the enquiries that arrive are already ready to pay. If you sell group tours you need a capacity field; thirteen people signing up for a tour of ten cannot be fixed at the pier.

Restoration and building work

Much of the district is a protected conservation area and the housing stock is largely timber mansions. A firm working here gets asked about permissions before aesthetics: how the conservation board approval is obtained, which materials are allowed, and how you get materials onto the island at all. That last question is a real cost line, because of the vehicle restriction.

All four share one requirement: the page has to work on a phone. Island visitors are reading on the ferry or on the road, not at a desk.

Why OSBSA Bilişim

Fast infrastructure

We build with Next.js, render pages on the server and generate images at the sizes the layout actually uses. On our own site PageSpeed Insights reports 86 on mobile and 97 on desktop, with 100 for accessibility, best practices and SEO. Those are measured numbers, not promises. On a weak island connection a page that opens quickly is not a luxury.

Custom code, not a template

Bolting seasonal rates and availability onto an off-the-shelf theme means fighting it again every season. We write each project as its own software and hand it over with an admin panel, so you change the menu, the dates and the rates yourself. Source code transfer and who holds the hosting are written into the contract as separate clauses.

SEO and GSEO ready

One H1 per page and a heading structure that stays intact. Location, opening hours and services are marked up as structured data. If you run two languages, hreflang is set up correctly — foreign guests are a real share of island traffic. For AI-driven search we open each section with a clear, quotable answer in a single paragraph, and the site ships an llms.txt file.

Reliability and support

The written quote lists the scope clause by clause, and work starts with a contract. Sites are handed over with backups already running, and form and booking data is kept in line with Turkish data protection law. Support runs weekdays 11:00–22:00 on one number that is both phone and WhatsApp: 0532 468 76 13. Being reachable in the evening matters in a business whose guests travel after work.

Frequently asked questions

My guesthouse only trades in summer. Does the site sit idle all winter?

It doesn't, because summer bookings are taken between January and March. Winter work is updating rates, loading last season's photographs and opening the early-booking terms. The months the site works hardest are the ones before the season, not the season itself.

Do you come to the island for meetings?

We do, and we schedule around the ferry timetable, usually grouping two or three jobs into one trip. Photography and measurements are done the same day. After that we work through video calls and a staging address, so no island visit is needed for each revision.

What does a website cost?

The scope sets the price: how many pages, whether booking and payment are included, how many languages, and who writes the content. That's why we don't quote a figure over the phone. We work the requirement out in a meeting and send a written quote that states what is included and what is not.

Let's talk about your site in Adalar

Once we know your season, your room or table count and how bookings reach you today, what you need becomes clear in about half an hour. If you don't need it, we say so.

Fill in the quote form or write through the contact page; the same number, 0532 468 76 13, takes calls and WhatsApp messages. In the meeting we open examples from your own line of work on screen — previous projects are listed under our work.

Page structure for hospitality is covered on our web design page, booking and panel work under web development, and search visibility under SEO.
