Tuzla Web Design and Software Companies: When Half the Site Is a Document Archive

Four industrial zones and a shipyard belt sit side by side in Tuzla. The most downloaded file here is not a product photo, it is a safety data sheet.

In short: Tuzla holds four organised industrial zones and a shipyard belt side by side; the Istanbul Leather zone alone lists 960 firms. Their websites share one trait: the document archive is as large as the catalogue.

Business life in Tuzla and why a website matters

Nowhere else in Turkey stacks four organised industrial zones and a shipyard belt into one district. The Istanbul Leather industrial zone at Aydınlı was founded in 1982 and records list 960 firms there; the zone treats 36,000 cubic metres of wastewater a day. The Istanbul Anatolian Side zone, founded in 1986, holds 153 industrial plots across 790,000 square metres with 144 registered firms, weighted towards metal and machinery. The Tuzla Chemical Industrialists' zone runs 163 plots across 740 dönüm at 98 per cent occupancy with 140 firms. Tuzla's own zone, founded in 2000, lists 132.

The fifth and best-known fabric is on the water: the Tuzla shipyard belt, with more than thirty yards alongside timber, fibreglass and steel boat builders. The supply trades clustered around it live off the same work — pipework, welding, paint, electrical panels, cranes, plate cutting.

In practice that means one district contains a tannery, a paint factory, a shipyard supplier and a CNC shop making defence parts, and the customers of all four ask different questions. For a foreign buyer sourcing here, that is the useful distinction, not the postcode.

What Tuzla businesses need from custom web software

Shipyard suppliers and metal fabricators

Work starts at trade fairs and through contacts, but there is one more step before it closes: the other side's procurement department adds you to an approved vendor list, and at that point they check you online. What they look at is fixed — which classification society approvals you hold and their scope, which vessels you have worked on, how large a crew you put on site, whether your safety documentation is current.

"Certificates available on request" means nothing in this trade; the certificate itself belongs there as a downloadable file. A reference list should carry vessel name, type, tonnage and year. An English version is essential, because the reader is usually not Turkish.

Chemical, paint and lubricant producers

On these sites the most downloaded file is not a product photograph, it is the safety data sheet. The customer's safety officer wants it, the warehouse manager wants it, customs wants it. The difficulty is that these documents change: when a formulation is updated, leaving the superseded sheet online is both wrong information and a liability.

So we build document management with versioning in the panel — each file's date is visible, the old one moves to an archive, and the product page shows the current file automatically. Pack size, UN number and storage conditions belong on the product page too. If you export, the English sheet is a separate file; putting both behind one link creates confusion.

Leather processors and leather goods makers

The buyer is a wholesaler or a brand supplier, often European. A product photograph alone will not do: colour swatches, leather type, square-foot calculation and batch-level stock are needed. LWG and REACH documentation belongs on its own page, because that is the European buyer's first question. Prices sit behind a dealer login rather than in the open. One detail specific to leather: swatches and surface grain do not photograph correctly on a phone, so the shoot happens at the facility, outside shift hours.

Automotive, defence and aerospace suppliers

The customer comes to audit, but reads the site first. IATF 16949, AS9100 or ISO 9001 certificate numbers and validity dates should be written out, and the machine park, measuring equipment and quality laboratory each want their own section. Work covered by a non-disclosure agreement cannot be photographed, so we sort out which images can be published together with the production team.

All four share one thing: the visitor is on site, on a phone, trying to download a document. File links working properly on mobile comes before the rest of the design.

Why OSBSA Bilişim

Fast infrastructure

We use Next.js; pages are compiled on the server, images sized to the device, and documents served separately and quickly. Our own site measures 86 on mobile and 97 on desktop in PageSpeed Insights, with accessibility, best practices and SEO at 100. In a catalogue carrying hundreds of PDFs, that means moving through the list without waiting.

Custom code, not a template

A versioned document archive, batch-level stock, or an approvals page listing classification scope does not come out of a ready-made theme. Each project is written with its own code, and the panel you upload documents through is part of delivery. Source code and hosting terms are written into the contract.

SEO and GSEO ready

One H1 per page, a clean heading structure, Organization, LocalBusiness and Service schemas, FAQ markup, hreflang on multilingual builds. Tuzla has a quirk worth knowing: people searching the area type the zone's name rather than "Tuzla". Carrying the zone's full name in the page title is the only way to appear in those searches. For AI-driven search, each page carries one quotable paragraph.

Reliability and support

The quote is written, work starts with a contract, and anything outside scope appears as its own line. Backups and data protection compliance sit in the delivery list. Support runs weekdays 11:00-22:00 on one number for calls and WhatsApp: +90 532 468 76 13.

Frequently asked questions

There are four industrial zones. Which one should the site name?

Whichever you are in, by its full name — for example "Istanbul Anatolian Side Industrial Zone, Tuzla". Aydınlı, Orhanlı, Tepeören and the shipyard shore are separate locations with real driving distance between them. We put the map pin on the factory gate rather than the district centre, and mark the lorry entrance separately when it differs.

Does listing chemical products on the site create a legal problem?

Publishing promotional and technical information is fine; you are obliged to give the safety data sheet and label information correctly. The part to watch is selling online: putting a dangerous-goods product in a shopping basket is a separate regulatory matter with transport restrictions attached. We separate the product groups together at that point.

What does it cost?

Scope decides: how many products, how many files in the archive, whether there is a dealer login, how many languages. We do not quote on the phone. We listen to the requirement and send an itemised written quote.

Let's talk about your site in Tuzla

If you have a company in Tuzla, fill in the quote form and tell us which zone you are in and which document your customers keep asking for. For calls and WhatsApp, +90 532 468 76 13; other channels are on the contact page.

We open examples from your own sector on screen, because showing how a versioned document archive is managed from the panel beats describing it. Delivered projects are on the work page. Scope is on web development, web design and the SEO page.
