The problem
In this trade the buyer searches by size, not by name: is it a 250 or a 450. Arranging the catalog by product group alone forced a refrigeration technician to walk through eleven groups to find the diameter they needed. Most of the products look alike in a photo; what sets them apart is diameter and shape. The company also exports, so the English version was a need rather than decoration, yet both languages had to be explained to search engines as separate pages. Sales run on quotes, not a basket; the site had to make finding the right size and asking for a quote easy, not take orders.
The solution
The home page got a fifteen-step scale from 150 to 630 mm; the drawings are to scale, and a visitor taps a size to drop down to the products at that diameter. The same catalog can also be browsed along a second axis, the eleven product groups. Each of the 57 products has its own page at a readable address. The Turkish and English versions are live at separate addresses and linked to each other with hreflang. The top strip shows the day's exchange rates from the central bank and the time; an industrial buyer checks the rate when asking for a quote. Company details are declared to search engines as structured data (Organization and WebSite). Every page carries a quote request and contact details, with a one-tap call button on phones.
